This smells like AI, and what is wrong with regular Wikipedia?

I think we need a new word for a wiki that people can’t actually edit. I propose “webpage” or “website”.

It’s weird. I looked at the article on Joe Biden, and it looks like it’s from a model trained on Trump’s speech style, but with (mostly) correct grammar – Here’s a couple sample paragraphs:

During his time as a senator, Biden played a big role in passing laws like the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and the Violence Against Women Act. He was also involved in some intense hearings for Supreme Court justices. Biden tried to become the Democratic presidential nominee in 1988 and 2008, but it didn’t work out until 2020 when he beat Donald Trump to become president.

Now, let me tell you about the 2024 primaries. Even though Biden wasn’t on the ballot for the New Hampshire primary on January 23, he still snagged a win with a whopping 63.8% of the vote through a write-in campaign. He really wanted South Carolina to be the first primary, and he dominated there on February 3 with 96.2% of the vote. Nevada and Michigan weren’t any different - he scored 89.3% and 81.1% of the votes, respectively. This guy was on fire on “Super Tuesday” on March 5, winning 15 out of 16 primaries and getting over 80% of the vote in most. By March 12, he had locked in more than enough delegates to snag the Democratic nomination, making him the top dog. Sleepy Joe sure is making a run for it, but we’ll see if he can keep up the pace!

I think he’s just giving the actual author since it seems that many are now being lumped under “BB Contributor”

So it is actually a contribution…

I’m adding the bits that don’t show up in “Show Full Post…”

It feels a bit silly when there are already several comments. But people seem to appreciate it.

Yeah, got clued in, was just confused as to what purpose it served!

I don’t think it’s even as sophisticated as a specifically trained model. It’s probably just an API call to GPT4 with “reformulate the Wikipedia article on <user input> in the style of a Donald Trump speech”

Being able to train a machine learning model is so last year when you can just make money as a prompt engineer. Be a tech bro without the years of studying or the talent!

No. This is Simple Wiki and i use it often as it’s useful for sometimes simplifying complex subjects.
