Fair enough but one can obviously come up with countless examples of “democratic” (by all common definitions) nations doing horrible, horrible things to both its own, and other, people. Is there any actual statistical evidence that democracies lead to better outcomes for more people? I’m not even sure how a common definition of what that is could be arrived at, honestly.
a democratic society is a classless society. How you interpret that is up to you.
Maybe AIs would do a better job – if properly programmed, ha!
I assume if you have two glass eyes, you can use your fingerprint, but having two glass eyes might give you a pass.

Though the first link I found described it as far-future not near-future.
Maybe it’s 150-300 years out? My definition of far-future is more like Dune. Jump 225 is much more cyberpunk (maybe better to say post-cyberpunk) than that.
Yeah unless something changed, this has been railed against as a bad idea by security experts for a couple decades now. Probably also accessibility folks for different, yet equally important reasons. Do they have a good alternate version?
Also, again, do I have to reference a bunch of cyberpunk stories again this week? This sort of thing does not end well.
