Some insiders also punked the Sotheby's Burning Man auction

That’s where you went wrong. You don’t have to believe your own spiel, you just need other people to believe it. That’s how I managed to graduate from art school with Honors.

Just saw a video about how the whole art market is a scam, oddly enough.

$2520…
Reminds me of Banksy’s shredded artwork. Skyrocketed in price after it was destroyed

Considering every dollar in sales yields commission dollars for the auction house, I think it’s Sotheby’s who is doing the punking.

But then are you a true artist or the world’s biggest impostor?

(hint, it’s impostors all the way down)

I once nearly got tossed out of a grad class for commenting on an article by Duchamp regarding some-decades retrospective of Dada, which he waxed a bit self-important. I commented on the irony of Dada, itself’s, tenets versus the ego of the artist.

That’s the problem with being a Dada-ist: you can’t retire to being a grandee of the established art hierarchy without someone tweaking your nose occasionally.
