Historically, Fort Drum/Sacketts’ Harbor [sic] was a :us: naval base for attacking :canada:, and was the staging point for the last attack in 1838 (that’s if you don’t count the Fenian Raids, which the :us: government did try to suppress).

Canadians: “We can’t really trust the Americans, because we know they don’t trust us, because they’ve got a military base right there.”

US: “We can’t really trust the Canadians, because they’re saying how they don’t trust us, which is why we need a military base there.”

Hope that the Starliner crew brought some good books, maybe a pack of playing cards with them to the Space Station because they’re going to be stuck there at least a little while longer.

I have to say, the PR statements that have been coming out of Boeing after each new failure are pretty impressive in their sheer audacity:

Is Leaky Starliner Stuck at the ISS? Boeing and NASA Say No Despite Yet Another Delay

[…]
Mark Nappi, vice president and program manager of the Commercial Crew Program at Boeing, said during the press briefing. “So here we are, we’ve learned that our helium system is not performing as designed, albeit manageable, it’s still not working like we had designed it, so we got to go figure that out.”

[…]

NASA’s Stich reiterated that the Starliner teams also learned that the vehicle’s service module is “a very complicated module.”

[…]

Starliner can stay docked to the ISS for a maximum of 45 days during its current mission.

[…]

So they can stay for roundabout another four weeks. No need to hurry, then.
