The impressive thing about these isn’t the woodwork, or even the idea of using stop-motion to show it, but the amount of setup between each frame to conceal the tools.
Where a Harryhausen would just nudge the limbs of a clay dinosaur, for this you’d have to take the model to the tool, clamp it, work it, clean up the sawdust and put it back in the exact position between every single shot.
