Ah, I’m guessing that, like me, you’re pretty much as far as you can get, while still nominally a part of the “Great American Eclipse.” Ah well, my kids are too young to really appreciate it anyway, we’ll get to the totality for the 2024 one.

I’m still looking forward to today, even if it isn’t total. But by 2024 our kid will be old enough to learn the science and appreciate it. We’ll be within the totality too.
We’re going to go get her from day care today to “see” it, by which I mean, I’ll take a photo of her with eclipse glasses and she’ll hang out with us while we watch the peak.
