It’s too bad that they didn’t have a programmer working in the illustration department. The rest of us were writing programs to generate artwork.
I did some pixel-by-pixel art back in the day. Very slow if you are doing a 640x480 piece or something like that, but It was kind of meditative at times, like I imagine sand painting may be.
Damn I miss those days… Amiga was an amazing machine way ahead of its time.
I had an A500 as our first computer (thanks ‘Class of the 90’s’ pack for doing the heavy lifting, convincing my parents that “we’ll use it for homework, not games!”), so I was very used to seeing this image.
Imagine my awe when I first saw the Workbench 2.0 screen, which had colours! And animation!
