Streaming porn might not be helping the environment

Netflix or Hulu, sure, but CC (and most of FB) don’t need much data streaming, so they don’t move as many electrons around.

how many very idiotic takes have you been reporting? Then we can compare.

Have you been around Facebook lately, Sven? A lot of the content is videos nowadays.

I’m sure you can parse: “(and most of FB)” to mean it uses more than CC and less than Hulu or Netflix.

I assume you’re at least that clever. I have been wrong before, have you, Bar?

Never!

You, sir, are an idiot.

Just think a bit about what your standard means for any criticism. I’ll give a little hint, since is obvious you are a kind of slow: have you ever been president? have you passed a law? do you cut hair for a living? do you write books? make movies?

I take the opposite view: Streaming porn means less driving which results in less air pollution.

Coming like a freight train 83 days a year sounds like a crazy good bargain. [Blushes and puts on a purple breather scrim over getting 100k gal. crude oil in the carpet every time.] Why can’t interpreting the bits -that- way be the way logic breaks in people.

Incidentally looking at arXiv with the unofficial app (that tells you how many new papers just landed in a clutch in e.g. Human Machine Interaction) has been awesome; people are publishing the results with an Intel gesture input device (optical, passive,) on throwing nuance into speech and sort of ranking spontaneity, all that stuff you need when you haven’t decided how to tell Alexa to figure out there are multiple Bergs (I forget, sorry NYT) and that the ones speaking to Alexa are -not- to be considered dead. [Level of difficulty: Writing for the NYT.] Alexa enhance!
[Alexa:] You so 'live, girl I put you in where people look for 2 Crews! People 'a dump you for MeUndies though.

6 GWh is 4% of what Turkey uses in fishing. It’s what 600 US households use. It’s nothing.

Maybe, just maybe, they should try to figure out why does a 1500-house town in the US use the same amount of energy as the whole fishing industry of Turkey?

It seems rather disingenuous to argue that some activity is more energy intensive than literally doing nothing at all, and thus you should stop doing that activity.

I guess they stopped short of saying that jacking off to internet porn is worse for the environment than praying quietly for the same amount of time?

Not too many boats are hooked to landline power when they’re working.

Using electricity in general is bad for the environment as long as non-renewable resources are used to produce it.

pr0n is definitely a renewable resource.
