Wow - we are making some hefty assumptions and using stereotypes to come up with the argument that the NRA has had a racist history.
First off we need to ask if the Mulford act is really racist? I suppose their motivation was spurred the Black Panthers (which aren’t exactly an innocent group, they have a violent history), but the law applied to white and blacks equally. Furthermore many states and cities have this same law - are they racist as well? Many of my liberal friends would support this law - are they racist as well?

The NRA supported the Mulford Act,
I can’t seem to find any information on the NRA actually supporting the Mulford act. It is mentioned in a few articles, with out any references or proof to back it up. Even if they did, that doesn’t necessarily make them racist. Like I said, many states enacted similar laws, and I think the NRA may have supported them as well (see below). Citing one bill that may have a racial overtone from its 142 year history is hardly enough to brand them racist.

and later supported Ronald Reagan.
So, assuming Reagan is a racist, the NRA is guilty by association? What does that make Democrats who supported a Grand Wizard of the KKK for president?

Now, it might of course be complete coincidence that the NRA suddenly did a complete U-turn as soon as the issue was white people carrying guns rather than black people.
But they didn’t do a complete U-Turn. The NRA was much more moderate back then, and had supported the NFA in the 30s and the later big firearms bill in 1968. It wasn’t until the late 70s that they took a much more hard lined stance.
Ironically people call for a more moderate NRA willing to compromise and support “common sense” laws, and back when they did so it is now being used to call them racist.
Soooo - because an organization is primarily white it’s likely they are racist? Cue Lewis Black: “Brrrttt! What?!” You’re using stereotyping to back up your assumptions? Per your article, “but as Noir frequently points out, he does not fit the stereotype of NRA members”
Generally if you are going to label an organization racist, they should probably have racist policies in place and promote racist ideas. Which the NRA does none of. They certainly wouldn’t hire a black spokesman or have black men run a booth about the racism of gun control.
I am glad you mentioned Colion Noir. The guy makes a lot of excellent points in his videos that are generally very informative (and sometimes pretty funny). http://www.mrcolionnoir.com/
