Acropolis Now was the TV sitcom, based on the stage show Wogs Out of Work.
In its defence, it was an attempt at anti-racist comedy made by Greek-Australian comedians.
It still wasn’t funny, though.

I’ve been reading @anon61221983’s book, How to Outdraw Anyone in a GIF Battle.
Agreed! Also, exhibit no. 2, Bill Nye:
Well, now you know my secret. But at least I know who he is.
Hang on there friend. Someone/ones had to choose the colors. This isn’t a photograph of 10 or so random kids, this was chosen. We don’t know quite how deliberative, but we can be interested in the design choices involved, if we want to be.
Your comprehension simply isn’t required, and your characterization is off base. You’re totally free to be incorrect, I won’t even judge you for it!
I always feel conflicted. Many people here don’t want positive contributors standing on the sidelines. But the most effective recourse is flagging, which is largely invisible and takes time. So the person being abused never knows they have an army who has their backs, cause the army isn’t trying to feed or shout down the trolls.
I don’t know what the answer is. It ain’t Grow Thicker Skin, and it also isn’t Banhammer All The Things.
I still have a gut feeling that sentiment analysis could help spot trollish hotspots faster. Maybe not mitigate them, but rank and stack them.
So the same subtle indoctrination that can perpetuate a problem can’t possibly help to cause or create a different one?
The “boys are bad” meme has been around for awhile now, but there’s no chance it has anything to do with the fact that 32% more girls than boys enroll in college?
You are currently doing just that.
No, somebody else (lots of somebodies) turned the rock over and said “look here” so I did. I’m just curious how, when people start counting kids and trying to separate them into groups (obviously a contentious process) to determine excess representation, nobody notices what (to me) is the most obvious grouping.
Please, tell us more about how this is about you.
I felt oppressed once, but then I wrote myself a great big reality check.
Well, I’ve never felt oppressed, but I’m sure glad for this reply – for awhile, I thought nobody here knew how to use words.
Some of us just get tired of saying the same thing over and over.
I know. I noted it as well a few messages back.
They copied the other clickbaity title verbatim, without providing the actual tweet.
I’m just trying to understand/explain why some people come here all worked up after reading the BoingBoing article.
I don’t think people were all worked up until apologists appeared and questioned the comments.
You do a damn fine imitation. Indistinguishable from here.
