Please, PLEASE let them try this in Canada. I’d love to be one of the folks that laughs in their faces and then tells them to go fuck themselves.

If you’re confident you haven’t downloaded or shared anything illegally, and can prove it, what means do you have available to force them to go through with a case they’re guaranteed to lose?
Can’t you sue them for threatening behaviour, or at the very least harassment, if they decide to drop their case against you?
