SXSW condemns Texas's state-level law banning "sanctuary cities" like Austin

Notice how they never talk about aggressively prosecuting the employers of undocumented workers – a few businesses fined out of existence and a few owners and executives thrown in the pokey for a couple of years in each state and it would be “problem solved” in all kinds of ways. But of course those kinds of businesses are owned by wealthy white men in rural and exurban areas and are definitely not hipster-focused tech and music festivals in liberal college towns, so it’s chirping crickets.
