They’ve since updated the headline to “presumed,” but “feared” was an odd choice of words:

Current UKR joke is “If only he had flown to Poltava instead, he would’ve survived”

I wonder what kind of tea they served on the plane, and perhaps he actually drowned in an unfortunate accident with the onboard toilet.

Where’s the fun in marking someone for death if you don’t get to watch them live in terror for a while, unsure of the moment the axe will fall?

A very public take-down. I’m sure the message was received where intended.

I think that’s standard BBC terminology

Feared = we don’t know but it’s very possible.

Regarding the coup I still believe the same thing I did on the day. Surovikin was supposed to have been the other prong, but the security services got him first (and made him film his “hostage video” etc.). Without him Prigozhin quickly realized that he was pretty thoroughly fucked.

I also don’t feel bad for the contractors on the Death Star. Or the second Death Star. Or that star base that they blew up the end of phantom menace. Or on that planet they blew up in rogue one.

God, Star wars movies are uninspired

The first two were pretty good

Then the bad decisions around the third one (repeating the plot of the first movie, making everybody related to everybody else) became a precedent that a later generation of filmmakers thought it was supposed to imitate :disappointed:

Most of the 10 were almost certainly henchmen, and possibly the pilots also… Or they fall in the category of “death star contractors”…
