I have been reading Defore’s A Journal of the Plague Year off and on. It’s interesting as a personal narrative, and it’s an interesting record of efforts to deal with the plague. I often find myself wishing that the United States had been as serious as London was about the plague back in the 17th century.
The Gutenberg Project has a decent version of the it.

Amazon Prime Video had this 24-part lecture course for free last month, and it was a worthwhile watch.
