You forget how large the U.S. is. Were I to live in a town, there would be municipal water and sewer. But each of our states is like a European country, and some are less populated than others. Running pipe out to rural areas is simply too large and expensive of a project to be done everywhere.
Believe me, I prefer having professionally-managed utilities instead of having to maintain my own. But I understand why places like where I live simply can’t do it.
I am looking to replace our 15 year old washer/dryer stacked unit which I love but isn’t made any more. What model of Miele do you have, if you don’t mind saying? Do you also have the dryer? I hang a lot of our laundry to dry, but a dryer is essential for some things.
Not sure which model, exactly - it is a WP1, but I think there are several of these. The model /type designations of washing machines (not only Miele) made me quite confused back then. Would have to look it up.
I don’t have a dryer.
