I used to do it, maybe 15 years ago. It was fun. It didn’t have that much equipment, compared to the hobbies I have now (CNC and 3D printing and stuff like that.)
Everyone should try marbling, letterpress and bookbinding, if you are the least bit artistic. It’s so fun to make stuff!
