The ordinary people who work in Austin, who want to live in Austin, have been doubling and tripling up. Among my friends who do live inside the city limits, some have 6 people under one roof, renting a house. The laws about this sort of arrangement are all over the place vis-a-vis limits to how many unrelated persons sharing a domicile are allowed.
