The technology is there and it’s marching on. Burying figuratively your head in the sand isn’t a solution. What is needed is to put it on an extremely short leash, and to never loosen the grip of oversight. Not likely to happen in the USA during this millenium, I’m afraid, so you may have to fall back to burying literally your head in the sand, for what it’s worth.
