She reported herself. Big whoop. If she really wanted to be contrite, she should have resigned from her position.
She’s pulled out the stops… after being roundly trashed by the public and media, of course.
Let someone do that to my kid, and losing their job will be the least of their fucking worries.
Pay people enough so that they don’t quit? No, this hospital just sues you instead:
These were “at-will” employees. The hospital could let them go at any time without cause or notice. But the hospital is now claiming some made up right to keep them from working for another employer. I think I can see why they left. I gritch about my employer at times, but wow, this is a different level. “Slaves cannot quit! They must be sold!”
Fucking prima donna.
Nothing to be done about it, as it was years before she became a correctional officer, but as Lauren Bonds, legal director for the National Police Accountability Project, said:
I do definitely think that this is going to undermine the trust that folks may have in this particular officer
He has proven, over and over again, that he is not negotiating in good faith, and that none of his offers or statements can be accepted on their face: he is bald-face lying about negotiating, and everyone knows it.
Why then would anyone bother offering him anything when it would seem easier to turn a Republican instead?
“…a man later identified as Iannazzo yelling at the workers and calling them “f—ing stupid, f—ing ignorant high school kids.” He then throws a full drink at an employee wearing a blue hoodie, later identified as Gianna Miranda, which hit her in the right shoulder. Miranda, Hill and another young woman working behind the counter tell him to leave, and warn him that they are calling the police. The video then shows the man calling Miranda a “f—ing immigrant loser” and attempting to force his way through the door to the employee area behind the counter.”
Asshole.
I can’t fathom why one would take that risk if the kid’s allergy was so pronounced? Make that smoothie at home, dude.
I’m hoping for double secret probation…
While on probation, PG&E pleaded guilty to 84 felony counts of involuntary manslaughter for a 2018 wildfire that wiped out the town of Paradise, about 170 miles (275 kilometers) northeast of San Francisco.
If PG&E were a person they’d still be in jail for this, but since they’re a corporation they’re allowed to continue us to exist and charge their customers more to pay their monetary liabilities.
There is no rock bottom for these people.
He’s assigned himself 3 Hail Mary’s and a cup of hot chocolate as penance.
