The Gallery of Just Plain Assholes (Part 1)

It didn’t take long for the “Freedom Convoy” types to drop the facade of being anti-mandate for freedoms.

Oh, hell, what fresh fuckery is this? Yeah, we’ve been over profit motive in medicine before, and no, curing patients is not profitable. That’s why all the new drug research is in chronic meds like psych, hypertension, cholesterol and impotence. No new antibiotics, few (but amazing) new cancer drugs. Profit motive has no place in medicine period.

Law enforcement warned this could happen when a 2013 law passed that let gun owners carry in cars. Then last year, Tennessee became one of a handful of states to pass a permitless carry law.

One of the most irresponsible things a gun owner can do, frankly, is not only keep a gun in such an insecure place as a car but to advertise it by putting firearm fandom stickers on the vehicle. I see them all over the place here.

Might as well get on a bullhorn and loudly announce you have $2000 in cash on the passenger seat before walking into Whole Foods.

A car is not a gun locker.

Can’t help but think of all the unintended consequences. Besides the obvious crime related ones, the insurance costs are going to sky rocket. Everyone in Tenn will end up paying one way or another.

USPS contracted with Delta to take possession of receptacles of U.S. mail at six locations in the United States or at various Department of Defense and State Department locations abroad, and then deliver that mail to numerous international and domestic destinations. To obtain payment under the contracts, Delta was required to submit electronic scans of the mail receptacles to USPS reporting the time the mail was delivered at the identified destinations. The contracts specified penalties for mail that was delivered late or to the wrong location. The settlement resolves allegations that scans submitted by Delta falsely reported the time and fact that it transferred possession of the mail.

This is the sixth civil settlement involving air carrier liability for false delivery scans under the USPS ICAIR Contracts, and collectively the United States has recovered more than $80 million as a result of its investigation of such misconduct.

The sixth case? The airlines are trying to rip off the US Mail. Wow.

Airline misconduct. Indeed.

“The composition and lyrics rights, however, were sold for $5 million in August. (Prosecutors did not identify who purchased them.) The proceeds, according to prosecutors, were being held by Kelly’s childhood friend Keith Halbert. Halbert also received hundreds of thousands of dollars from royalties from those rights, prosecutors said.“

Once you’re behind bars; that’s all his. He sure as hell won’t be spending any of it on your appeals from the Bahamas.

A chip in the container could be serious … oh wait, a Bill Gates 5G kind of chip? Maybe they need to tighten up their return policy to only real world reasons.

Meanwhile, what are they feeding their kid? (And if it was a speculator who couldn’t manage to sell them on at an outrageous price, then fuck that guy!)
