D’oh, I just figured out that the star after the game’s ID number in @Aloisius’s posts means playing on the “hard mode” setting (i.e., “Any revealed hints must be used in subsequent guesses”). I had imagined that the star might mean that they were using an unauthorized clone of Wordle, or something like that.
I also realized that I’ve just naturally been playing it as hard mode the whole time, just hadn’t toggled that setting. Now I’ve changed my setting, recopied today’s results, and it retroactively gave me a star for my game today

I wiped mine out recently when I cleared my browser history, but after toggling that setting today it still shows my newest streak (16 days). I suppose you may be playing in an app, though?
