I was fortunate enough to see a few results posted here before the game, so I at least knew something was different with it today.

I’m glad I did it first, so I got to enjoy the full fun of it

(What the heck— is it broken?—there can’t be that many words that will fit that pattern—well, maybe it’s something special—I’ll stick with it and see if I can still solve it—wait, why is the “Daily #” doing that??—well, let’s see…—Oh, ha ha, that was good! )

and then I came straight here, wondering how was I gonna mention it without spoiling it. But I got up late today, and the early birds were already chewing the worm, as it were

Five turns for me, even knowing there was something special going on, because of course I still wanted to do the usual elimination of letters, until 2 entirely blank rows (and identical rows 1 & 2) made me realize I was going about it all wrong.

After I got an e & i in the first word, I still didn’t think to link it to the spinning 8s until after my second attempt. I feel a bit slow today.

I lost at the Waffle today, because something just seemed wrong and, not-yet-confident with the rules or that it was programmed correctly, I wasted a bunch of swaps back and forth to prove to myself that no vowels could go there, so the author messed up.

Turns out I’m just dumb.

I had the exact opposite situation, for some reason: my best score ever (5 stars)!

Having fewer options helped.

How are people copying the image with the stars? I don’t seem to have that option, but I do have a lot of protections on my browser.

The first button on the right upper corner (with the three lines) shows you your stats and gives a Share option, similar to Wordle’s.

They will show up when you share the results. You should see how many stars you got under the puzzle.

Today was a stumper for me. It took me a long time to even think of a word for the 4th guess, so I cheated and didn’t play in hard mode. I made the empire states building, though, so there’s that.

Quordle, otoh, was a breeze!
