Yes, the trick it seems is to identify words but not rush to solve, so as to minimize the number of moves

Yeah, getting the right letter into the right spot isn’t good enough, you need to displace a letter so that it’s at least a yellow in its new spot.

I finally hit 100 games of Wordle (I’m not very consistent). I’ve kept my 100%. Does this mean I should just quit now while I’m ahead?
Also, I feel very late to the realization that Waffle is a perfect-information game, and that if I really cared enough I could work out the whole thing on paper before making my first move.
Having realized that, I don’t think I need to do it again.
