Great underrated movie, Kyle MacLachlan is having fun in that one.

Haven’t read that but Russell came immediately to mind when I saw the words “excellent pulp-era SF” in Mark’s headline. His silly, funny short “Allamagoosa” is one of my all-time faves… just found a PDF online here: http://projectavalon.net/Allamagoosa.pdf
