Ah, this is so cool.
Too bad it’s so far away from me.
If you’re down in So. Cal. you may want to check out the Museum of Death in Hollywood:
https://www.museumofdeath.net/ (currently closed while relocating)
Or the Museum of Jurassic Technology in W. LA if you’re into just weird and art:
https://www.mjt.org/ (currently open by reservation only)
Or randomly if you’re heading up the Turquoise trail from ABQ to Santa Fe:
https://tinkertown.com/ (re-opens for 2022 in April)
The theme of this museum seems to be things that weren’t intentionally created to be emotionally uncomfortable but managed to find themselves inhabiting the category anyway.
(Though I’m pretty sure that child-sized, handmade doll from Texas was stitched together out of actual children by the same family that raised Leatherface.)
Seconded for great justice [currently wearing their 'Geoffrey Sonnabend Obliscence" t-shirt]
