No joke, I seem to find it easier to parse the temperatures in Kelvin (275K == wear a warm coat), than the ones in Fahrenheit, even twenty years after I got my degree. My parents generation can still use °F, but most Brits have no idea. I think 70 is about room temp? And 100 is warm, but not actually hot?
Also, am I the only person who thinks of it as Centigrade rather than Celcius?
100 F is hot, especially if you’re acclimated to the UK’s weather! After the winter we just experienced in southeast Michigan, 80 F is going to feel ridiculously hot (if we ever get there ).
