Voting in person after work. I have come to worry about early voting as a target for suppression, even in a blue-ish state like ours.
Even with early voting their have been long lines at our polling place for weeks. No incidents that Iâm aware of but then again weâre in the middle of a sea of blue here. That being said there have been many more trumkin youngkin signs that Iâm comfortable with.
Oh shit! I forgot about JFK in Bubba-Hotep!
RIP, Ossie Davis!
I am in a sea of red, and generally keep my political leanings to myself. Although my wife makes no secret of how much she despises MAGAts on her Facebook posts and calls out idiots pretty regularly. Donât know if you have heard of Matt Cross, but he is running for school board the next district over and his campaign has been a shit show. I donât even get to vote aginst him, damn it.
We (me, my wife, and 2 sons) voted this morning in person. While I trust VAâs voting, we didnât want to trust USPS with our ballots.
Oh, you silly racist you!

Sean Parnellâs âfictionalâ novel, rife with violent and abusive scenes, not so fictional after all
gawd, I so fucking hate that man and I hate this stupid timeline. I love Florida, its wierdos, its beauty, these islands⌠I just want to freakin shake some idiots until their teeth rattle, but that, of course is no answer. is there noone to challenge MoRon that could offer a glimmer of hope? Fried hasnât a chance, Crist is a been-there-done-that ex-gov that flipped sides (making him dead to most voters in Central FL - as go The Villages, so goes the state). of course, I will go for, work for, campaign for the opposition, whoever that is, but⌠damn! I long for someone with a spark, a modicum of of intelligence, originality and charisma to actually get a movement to take down Emperor Ron.
Due diligence is hardâŚ
Someone doesnât want to keep their law license.
Citing a random online Reuters piece is something a 12 year old would do.
But then again they didnât really need to verify anything did they?
Some would say that this puts Rudy in deep dooky:
âIn order to win a libel, the plaintiffs have to show a reckless disregard for the truth,â Toobin proffered. âThat deposition, to me, looks like the definition for reckless disregard for the truth.â
âThe idea that you will go out in public, and damage the reputation, as Giuliani clearly did to these companies, without any sort of checking, without any sort of concern for whether why youâre saying is true, seems to be clearly libelous,â he continued. âAnd just I think Giuliani will be on the hook for millions of dollars.â
âLibel is supposed to address harm to reputation. The companyâs reputations were horribly damaged by these total falsehoods that he put out there, with, it seems to me, reckless disregard for the truth. I think these will be disastrous for him,â he continued. âAnd they may well be disastrous for the media outlets, including Fox News, that put it on uncritically.â -Mediaite
The man was US Attorney. Did he just say âThat guy is a mobster!â without any evidence? I guess he was famous for dragging people around in handcuffs to embarrass them when they would have turned themselves in voluntarily and arresting people late in the day deliberately so they had to spend the night in jail.
Ok, I met him by reading this piece and now I wish that I hadnât. Damn, these losers are wack.
Happy Cake Day!
Thx. Everyone is welcome to a slice!
