Around 12:30 p.m., as rows of police were in a tense faceoff with protesters and supporters near the intersection of Rideau and Sussex and police in vehicles and on horseback were moving in elsewhere, King was approached in his vehicle by a police officer who said: “You are under arrest, sir.”

Yup - Paul Furber was the original Q. He collaborated with Ron Watkins early on, and then eventually Watkins took over as the sole Q in what was believed to be a hijacking. (Watkins is an 8kun administrator and father owns the site.)
Watkins had more or less admitted to being Q in the excellent HBO docuseries Q: Into the Storm.
The whole story is pretty fascinating - lots of really colorful characters here.
