Anybody else here never seen/heard of that word, and have to read half the article just to see what the heck this was all about? Just sayin.

Now do an article on the reason why Karaoke is pronounced care-ee-oh-key!
I’ve never understood this. Even if people have no idea where the word originated from, just by the spelling, you’d expected something more like car-ah-oak or cara-oh-kay. Even car-oak makes more sense.
