The song that’s stuck in your head right now

I woke up at 4:30am this morning and this was going through my head. Killer song, but absolutely no idea why - I lay there trying to figure out who it was by (couldn’t remember). Also, why? - had I heard it somewhere recently? (In Fukuoka and Hiroshima - possible but unlikely)
For some reason first thought was David Byrne/Talking Heads - argh.
Then my sleep befuddled brain threw up “Traveling Wilburys”, but still knew that wasn’t right. Reached for the phone to put my brain to rest…

Every mention of a gravel pit starts this playing in my head

(I’ve listened to the song a lot but hadn’t watched the video in years. mid-40s me doesn’t find it nearly as great as 20 year old me did)

It’s such a beautiful/sad story. My understanding is that John is reluctant to play it now. Was it on the set list for your show?

No, they didn’t play it for the ATL show… but it’s a great song…

I’ve been listening to it a lot the past week or two. Sometimes just because it’s a great song and other times because I hear parts of it in my head and then feel compelled to listen to it

This has been my Ohrwurm for the past week or so. Which isn’t a bad song, really.
