This is the first 3D visualization of a melting snowflake

The visualization was actually developed by Alex Kekesi, of NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio at Goddard Space Flight Center. The simulation that drives the visualization was created by Jussi Leinonen. This is an important distinction that the JPL release neglected to make.


Is this a right wing meme yet?

The far-right snowflakes do appear to be melting.

Just a warning though, after a thaw there is a risk of flooding. We aren’t safe yet.
