One of my favorite bands from the late 70s Washington DC scene was the appropriately named “Tiny Desk Unit”. They were denizens of the live studio music sessions of progressive and college radio stations.
Lately I’ve been listening to the 2017 Tiny Desk contest winner, Tank and the Bangas, which share a few elements with this year’s winner
