This could well turn out to be a truly wonderful thing. As someone subject to ultrasound scans periodically, having one of these on for 48 hours to collect data could save a lot of hassle and hospital resources.

Funny how biomed stuff always gets a pass on the disposable, one time use of plastics and other harmful substances.
You’re not wrong, but maybe they can be shamed into making them with wax paper and apple cores.
