Naw, you feel all squished up inside the too-tight tiny old exoskeleton, and it gets mad itchy. It’s much more uncomfortable in the run-up to when you’re about to molt. It’s like when human females describe wearing a too tight bra and high heels all day, and how great it feels to take it off when you get home. You also feel a little taller.
You couldn’t do a better illustration of “death throes” if you tried! And yet, it’s just “molting”. Impressive!
I won’t ask where your expertise in the matter comes from, your description is just a leetle too vivid.
