I learned on a Soviet Zenit camera. It was a workhorse, and lack of bells and whistles really forced me to learn the basics and good photography habits to be able to take good photos.
I still have them tucked away in a box somewhere. I’ve moved on to more automated cameras after all my eye problems. I love those bomb proof cameras!
