At the time, I wasn’t replaced by a machine. I just left the Air Force where it was my job and couldn’t find comparable work in the private sector, so I had to start over. I retained the skills that served me and dropped the ones that didn’t.
They largely seemed to like it.and clutched not at their
pillows on this day.
