TSA admits "terrorists in America are not plotting against aviation"

Depends on who you consider terrorists… your answer might be different from TSA’s answer.

yeah the USA dodged a bullet keeping Palin out of office, that’s for sure.

Presume … probably … almost certainly … partly right.

Uh?

I think the only scared terrorists were “improperly dressed” teenagers, prostheses wearers, that kind.

Shocking? Hardly. Remember the Military Industrial Complex a certain Republican President warned us about? The TSA is part of an offshoot of that: the Terrorism Division. So, in addition to building planes to fight wars we will probably no longer have (F-35), now we’re fighting a battle on the home front that the other side isn’t fighting, at the cost of hundreds of millions.

Government, when put in the wrong hands (war mongers, “fiscal” conservatives, etc.), does not function effectively or efficiently. We just saw in that the last two weeks.

Funny thing is, yes it does. It does exactly what the stakeholders, supporters and investors in that system want it to do. Concentrates power and wealth, channels financial flows.

That’s one of the worries the certain Republican had. It’s sociologicall and economically distorting.

Not to mention billions in foreign aid to Egypt (among others, I’m sure) that boomerangs right back to American military contractors to pay for tanks and jets to be built that are never even taken out of the box.
