Never thought Id see that today.
And yesterday, I watched a man electrify and play a bbq grill with a contact mic, and another accidentally turn on a basement shower climbing the wall, drunk and high, during a live powernoise show where the crowd gleefully choked a performer out with a belt.
I have a strange life.
I always assumed the expression meant the potato was the lens. Or perhaps the media. Using the potato as the body seems like you’re adhering to the letter, not the spirit.
Yeah, I thought it was supposed to be a pinhole style camera.

I was expecting the potato to be the whole shebang: lens, film, body. Because that would work, albeit not very well.
I’ll have to buy a potato and see what I can do with it.

I was really hoping this was some process by which potatoes were made light-sensitive, to directly produce an image. Am disappoint.
