For certain values of “this”, I’d say. When you said “should have done this” I interpreted that as “started converting their fleet to electric”, not “had mostly converted their fleet”, seeing as the article is about the US starting to do that.
Difficulty: Louis DeJoy is still Postmaster General, and has been doing everything he can to run the Postal Service into the ground. He tried instead to spend a billion dollars on a new fleet of even less fuel-efficient vehicles. I think that plan was nixed, but it’s a disgrace that the POS is still in office and not in jail.
Most rural mail routes are served by private contractors driving their own vehicles, not ones provided by the USPS.
