A Rosy Maple Moth β firing on all cylinders for the big launch.
Silk Moth fastidiously grooming itself even though it will never fly and will die several days after emerging from its cocoon. I admire that.
Baby Bun in the Bun House:
Every year or two, a rabbit manages to get past the wire mesh and into the backyard. And then it has its babies in that protected space.
I had spotted the rabbit only. After I cleaned out some plants that were crowding the plants that we did want, Baby Bun turned up shivering in the corner at dinner time. Brick and concrete suck heat, and it was going down to 11C that night, so I put a towel scrap in a box in case it was staying a while. It flopped over and napped for a couple hours, then random-walked back to the garden. (It couldnβt figure out if it was supposed to walk or hop.)
I guess Iβll be seeing more of it, and the others, later.
