I have just folded space from Ix and lay before you the plunder of yet another alternative bird/cat reality.
Pet birds can be incredibly fearless when it comes to other animals in the family. The Quaker parakeet I have now would happily nibble on my dog-- who at 42 pounds is many, many times larger than the bird. Is it bothered, or afraid of the woofer? Of course not. 
Needless to say, I’m very careful about their interactions. So far, so good.
