Sans the fenced roadway, the view reminds me a lot of hypnotic scenes in the Quay Brothers’ Piano Tuner of Earthquakes.
Bees!
I wonder why they were all on the sidewalk?
I’m getting a native bee house from crown bees. It arrives tomorrow. I thought it was too late in the season, but we watched a bee lay an egg in the hole of the handle of our hand shovel. I carefully moved the shovel somewhere it won’t get jostled and used big spoons since
Wheee!
I’m gonna show this to the next engineer that says there ain’t no frictionless seal.
I’ll have to be ready to duck quickly, but it’ll be worth it.
One can never have too many capybaras.
Truly, the God of Guinea Pigs is a gentle deity!
House? That’s a HOTEL!
Homemade? That’s really nice.
We have a couple on our back wall, but unfortunately they are thoroughly inspected by the Gila Woodpecker about once a week.
Oh no, i bought it. It’s from Crown Bees, https://crownbees.com/
My husband could have made something about as nice, but we just dont have the equipment.
It was expensive- but the wood is cedar from a First Nation managed forest and the tubes from the same company fit well, so I can replace them every spring to minimize pests and diseases
ETA: the rocks are mine- apparently gaps encourage birds to nest
Aquaplaning!
Mini-Smudges!!!
So majestic!
Are they stuck in a window well?
In, not stuck according to the place where I picked this photo up.
