Oh sure, and that’s why I allowed that this may still be a coincidence. I’ve seen plenty of examples of designers independently coming up with very similar designs. I was just pointing out that this case isn’t as simple as “D.C. suing anybody who has a logo that looks like a bat.”
I followed that. I was just making a general observation.

“I’m only being an asshole because of a stupid law” carries no weight with me. Neither does “I’m only being an asshole because I get paid to.”
You guys go ahead and try to design any stylized, minimalistic bat symbol bearing no resemblance whatsoever to any of those 15 Batman ones (I’m sure there are more). I’ll be around.
Edit. I just realized that image was 15 of the Batman logos from the last 15 years. There must be many more.
