Video: Burning RV mysteriously drives itself across the street before the fire spread to nearby home
Going out with a bang, figuratively speaking. Nice.
(Fires can do weird things to electrics.)
Lots to unpack there!
Wow, that RV really hates trees!
The tree was giving the RV attitude and had it coming.
It uses an external combustion engine.
Hotwired?
The parking brake probably melted?
“If your van’s a smokin’, maybe you shouldn’t have been tokin’.”
Why did the burning RV cross the road?
Story prompt - AI self driving car catches fire in the middle of the night, runs through scenarios on how to proceed with what little time it has left.
Weirdness starts at 2:45 or so.
Looks like another case for…
My name is Inigo Motorhome, you killed my father, prepare to die!
To get away from the chicken?.
Almost certainly insulation in a wiring harness melting with various wires shorting out. Since this has a standard transmission and was probably left in first gear, when the ignition wires shorted, the starter motor just drove the RV across the street.
Probably.
Happens all the time (well, every 10 years) , maybe they should recall them.
those poor trees!
makes ya wonder if the guy’s wife (who died in the RV) was the one at the wheel - hmmmm
If my wife dies and I’m in our RV with anyone but the cats I guarantee she’ll drive me and the RV right of a cliff.
