Just my personal opinion, but why would someone want to use a relatively benign toy like Lego to build something as malevolent as a drum machine?

It’s a matter of taste, of course. Human musicians always add a dash of legato or rubato to their playing, and its absence in machine-made music is something I don’t care for. Certainly not saying people who like that sort of thing are “wrong.”
