Americans work stupid long hours for far too little compensation, and it’s kept civic involvement very low.
I am very interested in what happens when these overworked laborers get a chance to catch their breath and compare notes and stew in enforced inactivity for months at a time…
I am hopeful that labor will become a seller’s market when the economy ramps up again.

OK, one nice thing: free food pantries around me are still open & younger volunteers are taking up the slack.
