I encourage anyone who loves this stuff to visit the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago to see the U-505 exhibit, which contains a full Enigma machine* captured intact with the sub. It’s just cool as hell.
*along with all the other incredibly interesting stuff–like the torpedoes (they’re huge!)
