I’m impressed with the slinky tricks. I’m positively boggled that anybody managed anything fun with those horrible plastic ones!

The metal ones would just bend and never be the same.
I know this from experience.

I don’t think a metal one would be able to jump back from the ground like that.
A few weeks back I bought my daughter a giant slinky. It walks down the stairs nicely. And it’s big enough that she (at 2 years old) can work it by herself.
and here i hoped it was giant enough so she could travel downstairs inside.
That would be even better, but probably dangerous.
