“Why isn’t it considered a hate crime?” - Tucker Carlson
Seriously? A hate crime? There’s a big inflatable menorah on display in our town. Would it be a hate crime if someone burned that? Doubtful. Sometimes a holiday decoration is just a holiday decoration, Tucker.
Fun fact: the bible doesn’t give any number at all. Three is just another tradition that somehow emerged. (Just like Humpty Dumpty; the text doesn’t say he’s an egg.)
So maybe seven wise men, possibly somewhat on the short side?
Three guys with presents, plus two guys who both thought the other guy would get the present, plus one guy who is against giving presents on principle, plus one guy who tagged along because he thought the others were going to a party.
But there were three gifts specified, so if it was more than three dudes then there must have been some embarrassment about the duplicate presents. “You brought myrrh too? Well shit.”
Well, yeah sure. They had helped plan and organize the famed January 6 Peaceful Tourist Visit so it was no surprise while the burning tree was a surprise to all of them except for a janitor named Moses who predicted the latter event. Some people just get overwhelmed by surprises so naturally they reacted to the burning bush, errr, tree more strongly.
Correction: The 6 Jan 2021 attack on the US Capitol was not a ‘riot’, but a planned insurrection, waging war on the US. See the Constitution, Art.III Sec.3 for the status of those involved.
