You also have to know that LEDs aren’t very hot.

Their backend power supplies can get pretty crazy hot, but yeah.
The (very awesome) LED floodlight I use with my tractor will not heat your hand with its light anywhere near as much as an incandescent with the same lumen output would.
My bicycle headlights keep killing themselves from the heat. I need to build a better heat sink.
(also: flashlight lasers: never point them at an object of the same color or at a mirror.)
